Rosh Hashanah

This is a description of Rosh Hashanah. Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year. The first of the Days of Awe, Rosh Hashanah is celebrated on the first two days of Tishrei, the seventh month of the Hebrew calendar nine and eight days before Yom Kippur. It is described in the Torah as a day of sounding the Shofar.

What Happened Yesterday

This was what happened yesterday. I ran home from school yesterday then I realized my mom was ready to drive me home instead, so I ran back to school for her to get me. After that she drove me home and just after we left we ran out of gas rights where I stopped running to get back to school. I had to go to the gas station and buy a gallon of gas then some guy grabbed the gallon as I was taking it back to the car and threw it on the ground. After which he got a lighter and threw it on the gasoline and I made a narrow escape from trouble by jumping out of the way and buying more gas to give to my mom. Then got back to the car and asked her if she saw the explosion and was worried. The she said she saw the explosion, but she figured she would before it happened. I asked her why after she said that and she said it was because I did the same thing yesterday and agreed. After that she drove me home and we all lived happily ever after until the next day when it happened again.

A Time When me and my Grandma were Together

This is a time my grandma and I were together. We were riding bikes at her beach house to go to a field where my family would play baseball. My sister had put a basket on the front of my bike and I didn’t like it there. So when I was riding I tried to take it off, but then my bike went out of control because I only had one hand on the handle. After that my grandma gave me some bandages and she helped me limp back to the house. Then we sat down outside and talked about what happened and my grandma cared for my wounds and made me feel better.

If I Weren't Doing This

This is what I would be doing if I didn’t have to write this w2l. If I didn’t have to write this w2l I would be playing a game on my computer. Either that or working on my math. I probably wouldn’t be doing the math because I am required to read paragraphs for the lesson and I don’t want to do that. I like to do math where you just see a problem and solve it. Although this math does only make me do 8 questions per lesson and I am grateful for that.

Why Milkshakes Should be Served in the Cafeteria at Lunchtime

Hello Dad, I feel milkshakes should be served at the cafeteria during lunch. The reason I feel this way is milkshakes are scientifically proven to be healthier for you than water. Also they are much better for you than donuts which I also think we should serve. The most persuasive part of my argument is that I really want them in the cafeteria for lunch and I am your son and you love to make me happy. However the reason I find most important for milkshakes to be served in the cafeteria is that they taste awesome.

Mr. Charlton Singleton

Today my school had a visit from a man named Charlton Singleton. He is a musician who plays a lot of instruments and conducts the Charleston choir. He told us about how he got into music and how much he had to practice every day playing the same note on a trumpet for 2 minutes straight. I feel this could impact my life because I need to practice my guitar in to play it well.

All my Blogs

This is about all of the blog posts I have done. Each day at my school we have to write what we call a W2L, which stands for Write to Learn. After this we send them to our teacher Mrs. Carey and she reviews them. After this we post the revised version of our W2L as our blog. Yesterday I hit a grand total of 70 blogs making this my 71st blog of which I am very proud and I hope to make it to 100 blogs total by the end of the year.

If I could be any Animal for a Day

If I could be any animal I would be a lion. The reason I would like to be a lion is that as I lion I would get to sleep about 21 hours each day. Then when I am not asleep I will be hunting with my pride. Oh, the thrill of the chase. My final reason I would like to be a lion is because it is my favorite animal, especially the white lions for their coloring.

What I've Learned this Week in School

This is what I have learned this week in school. This week in school I learned how tennis balls are filled with air. They are originally two halves, but then they are fused together and the air they have inside them is pressurized for a good tennis ball like ounce. I also learned the location of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Myrtle Beach. My dad has also taught me the verses Philippians 2: 5-8 “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.”

Five Excuses for not Doing my Work

These are five excuses not to do my work. I had something better to do. I was busy playing on my iPhone. I would do it but I just got hit by a car. The president just called and ordered you not to make me do this. I was busy selling all my textbooks.
