The Alphabet

This is about the Alphabet. The first letter in the alphabet is A and the second is B. This is in our alphabet, in the Latin version the first two letters are Alpha and Beta which is why it’s called the AlphaBet. Also, the first four letters of the alphabet, A,B,C,D, don’t appear in any numbers until the number 100. In fact, “C” isn’t in any single number. Text that deliberately excludes one letter of the alphabet is called a lipogram. The best recorded English lipogram was a book in 1939 a book called Gadsby: Champion of Youth. It used more than 50,000 words, none of which contained the letter “E”. Finally, a sentence which contains all 26 letters of the alphabet is called a pangram, an example is "Pack my box with five dozen liquor jugs."
